Meet Kevin Sweeney, MD, DDS

Oral Surgeon in Eugene OR

Dr. Kevin Sweeney - Oral Surgeon at Northwest Oral & Implant Surgery

Down-to-earth and dedicated to patient care, Dr. Kevin Sweeney grew up in the Northwest appreciating the great outdoors. Even as a child, he loved to create things with his hands, an aptitude that led him naturally into a career as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

Born and raised in the Seattle area, Dr. Sweeney went on to study biochemistry at the University of San Diego and obtained his dental degree at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He then attained his medical degree and completed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Pennsylvania. This six-year training program included a two-year certificate in general surgery training, including rotations on plastic surgery and pediatric plastic surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He also holds an advanced specialty certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with professional degrees in both medicine and dentistry, Dr. Sweeney is skilled at dental implants, bone grafting, all-on-four restorations, 3D and digital treatment planning, oral and maxillofacial pathology, wisdom teeth removal, and comfortable sedation.

More than anything, Dr. Sweeney is focused on genuine, personal connections and providing his patients timely, safe, effective, and comfortable care.

While he enjoyed all that Philadelphia had to offer, Dr. Sweeney is delighted to return to the Pacific Northwest. When he’s not caring for patients, he and his loving wife enjoy many outdoor activities with their sweet and goofy dog, whether on land or in water. They are avid food enthusiasts, and they always welcome restaurant recommendations!
